Technic by Lego uses interconnecting plastic rods and parts. The purpose of Technic series is to create more advanced models with more complex movable parts, such as machines with wheels, in addition to the simpler brick-building properties of normal Lego. Lego introduced the Expert Builder series in 1977 and was later renamed Technic in 1984.

The Technic series is evolving all the time, and all stems from the basic Lego of normal bricks. With holes between the studs so that wheels and axles can be fitted.

Some real complex models can now be created.
